What it is
A classic Latvian deli favourite: boneless chicken meat seasoned, rolled, and gently cooked into a firm, slice-able log. The result is mild, juicy and lightly savoury — perfect for thin slices on rye, layered into a school lunchbox sandwich, or fanned out on a holiday platter beside pickles, mustard and good bread.
Nakotne (Gāles Putnu Uznəmums) is one of Latvia's most trusted poultry producers, based near Jelgava and recognised by the Latvian Traders Association as Product of the Year for their smoked chicken range. Their roulade carries the same careful, traditional craft — whole muscle, properly seasoned, no shortcuts.
