Chernogolovka Tarhun Lemonade 1.5L
The original Soviet-era tarragon soda — herbal, lively, bright green
RUSSIA · CHERNOGOLOVKA · 1.5L
What it is
Tarhun is one of the most recognisable soft drinks of the former Soviet Union — a strongly carbonated lemonade flavoured with tarragon, an aromatic herb with a distinctively fresh, anise-like fragrance. The name comes directly from the Russian word for tarragon, and the recipe has been enjoyed since the 1960s.
Chernogolovka's version is made with a genuine tarragon extract brewed from the dried herb, blended with citric acid and a touch of vanilla. The result is characteristically herbal, gently sweet, with a clean citrus finish. The vivid green colour comes from two food-grade colourings combined.
Ingredients
Prepared artesian water, sugar, tarragon infusion, acidity regulator (citric acid), preservative (sodium benzoate), colours: tartrazine (E102), brilliant blue (E133); food flavouring (vanillin).
