What it is
Bucuria's Bird's Milk candies are a classic of Eastern European confectionery — airy soufflé centres made with egg white and agar, delicately flavoured with coconut and enrobed in a smooth chocolate glaze. The result is a light yet indulgent bite: the coconut adds a tropical note to the familiar milky sweetness of the traditional Bird's Milk filling. Bucuria has been producing confectionery in Chişinău, Moldova since 1946, and these candies remain one of their most recognisable lines.
