What it is
Biovelos are Biovela's signature hot-smoked frankfurters — plump, firm-textured sausages made from pork and beef, seasoned with classic Central European spices and then finished over natural wood smoke. The hot-smoking step sets them apart from plain cooked frankfurters: it locks in the meat's natural juices while adding a distinct, lightly smoky depth of flavour.
Ready to eat after a quick pan-fry, grill, or boil in simmering (not boiling) water for 4–5 minutes. The casing firms up nicely under heat, giving that satisfying snap with every bite. Pairs well with mustard, rye bread, and pickled vegetables.
