What it is

Big Lunch is one of Russia's familiar instant-noodle brands, and this cup is the herb-lover's pick of the range: wheat noodles with a sauté-style chicken seasoning, lifted by basil, oregano, bay leaf and a gentle touch of chilli. It tastes closer to a seasoned chicken broth with noodles than to the usual one-note instant soup.

Pour boiling water up to the mark inside the cup, cover, wait 3–4 minutes and stir. Handy for the office drawer, student kitchens, road trips and campsite suppers — anywhere a hot lunch needs to appear fast.

Ingredients

Noodles: wheat flour, vegetable oil, water, salt, thickener (guar gum). Soup base: salt, dried vegetables (carrot, spring onion, red paprika, celery root, onion), flavourings, flavour enhancers (E621, E627, E631), ground spices (turmeric, black pepper, red chilli, bay leaf, basil, oregano), sugar, dried onion and garlic, maltodextrin, acidity regulator (citric acid).
