What it is
Cesu Nefiltretais is an unfiltered pale lager from Cēsu Alus, one of Latvia's oldest breweries, founded in Cēsis in 1878. Unlike filtered lagers, Nefiltretais is left with its natural yeast haze intact — giving it a fuller body, a slightly creamy texture, and a more pronounced malt character than you'd get from the same wort run through a bright tank.
At 5.4% ABV it sits comfortably in the middle of the lager spectrum — robust enough to stand up to food, light enough to drink without ceremony. Best served cold, straight from the can.
