What it is
Zelta Blackcurrant is a flavoured beer drink from Aldaris, Latvia's leading brewery founded in Riga in 1865 and now part of the Carlsberg group. Brewed on a base of malted barley and pressed apple juice, then infused with blackcurrant flavour, it pours a vivid pink-purple with an aroma of sweet ripe berries and a gentle malt note.
At 4.5% ABV it is light and refreshing — sweet-tart fruitiness up front, a clean finish. Serve straight from the can, well chilled.
