Badagoni Saperavi — Georgian Red Dry Wine
A deep, characterful red from the ancient vineyards of Kakheti
GEORGIA · BADAGONI · 0.75 L
What it is
Saperavi is Georgia's most celebrated red grape — its name translates as 'paint' in Georgian, a nod to the inky pigment that colours even the juice deep crimson. Badagoni's winery in the Kakheti region draws on volcanic soils and a continental climate to produce a deeply concentrated, characterful wine.
This dry red delivers dark plum and ripe cherry on the nose, with notes of blackberry and subtle spice. On the palate it is full-bodied with well-integrated tannins and a long, warming finish. Serve at 16–18 °C alongside grilled lamb, mature hard cheese, or a rich stew.
