Kagor “Georgiy Pobedonosetz” Red Sweet Wine
A velvety Moldovan dessert wine with a centuries-old tradition
MOLDOVA · 10.5% ABV · 0.75 L
What it is
Kagor is a traditional sweet red wine with deep roots in Orthodox culture, long used in liturgical celebrations and treasured as a warming dessert wine. Named after the ancient French city of Cahors, whose winemaking traditions inspired Eastern European viticulture, Kagor is produced from red grape varieties grown in Moldova's sun-drenched vineyards.
Georgiy Pobedonosetz — St. George the Victorious — carries the name of one of the most revered saints in the Orthodox tradition. The wine is deep ruby in colour, with aromas of ripe plums, dark berries, and a gentle spiced warmth. On the palate it is smooth and sweetly rich, with a lingering finish.
Ingredients
Grape must and wine from red grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon), sulphites.
