What it is
This is the Eastern-European classic "sgushchenka s kakao" — whole milk gently evaporated and slow-cooked with sugar and real cocoa powder until it turns dense, glossy, and a deep chocolate-cream colour. The 7.5% on the front of the pack refers to milk-fat content, which is what gives it that velvety mouthfeel without crossing into heavy.
Pour it warm over blini, syrniki, oladi or a slice of fresh white bread. Stir a spoonful into your morning coffee for a quick mocha. It also bakes beautifully into chocolate-marbled cookies, brownie tray-bakes, and homemade ice-cream bases.
