What it is
Unrefined sunflower oil pressed from sunflower seeds grown in Russia's fertile Kuban region. Cold-pressed and unfiltered to preserve natural aroma, flavour, and fat-soluble vitamins A, D and E. The rich golden colour and characteristic nutty, toasty scent are the hallmark of a proper unrefined oil.
Best served raw: toss through salads, drizzle over boiled potatoes or buckwheat, or use as the base for dressings and marinades. Also excellent for home pickling and preserving. Not recommended for high-heat frying — the natural compounds that give unrefined oil its character and aroma break down at high temperatures.
