What it is

These are Baltic sprats (kilka) carefully cleaned and lightly fried before being packed in a rich tomato sauce. The glass jar preserves the delicate texture and allows you to see exactly what you are getting before you open it.

A staple of the Baltic and Eastern European pantry, these fried sprats are delicious served cold straight from the jar with dark rye bread, or warmed gently and served over mashed potato.

Ingredients

Baltic sprats (fish), tomato paste, water, sunflower oil, sugar, salt, wheat flour, onion, black pepper, bay leaf, citric acid.
