What it is
Soviet Sparkling (Sovetskoye Shampanskoye) is a carbonated white wine produced in the Russian tradition by the secondary fermentation method. The semi-dry style sits between brut and semi-sweet, with just enough residual sugar to round off the bubbles without being cloying.
Made from a blend of classic white varietals including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Aligote and Riesling, it delivers a light, fresh character with fine persistent mousse. Serve well chilled as an aperitif, with light appetisers, or alongside fruit and mild cheeses.
Ingredients
White wine material (blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Aligote, Riesling), sugar, antioxidant: sulphur dioxide (E220).
