What it is
Rīga Black Balsam is one of the oldest herbal liqueurs in the world — produced in Riga since 1752 to a closely guarded recipe of 24 botanicals. The Tropical edition keeps the full complexity of the original dark bitters and lifts it with bright tropical fruit notes, producing a drink that is at once deeply aromatic and surprisingly approachable.
Presented in the iconic ceramic bottle — a piece of Latvian craft tradition in itself — this 0.5L bottle is suited for sipping neat, over ice, or as a mixer in long drinks and cocktails.
Ingredients
Grain neutral spirit, water, sugar, natural extracts and essential oils of 24 botanicals including bilberries, raspberries, birch buds, gentian root, peppermint, wormwood, ginger, valerian root, sweet flag, linden blossom, oak bark, bitter orange peel, nutmeg, black pepper — with additional tropical fruit essences.
