What it is
Obuoliukai — «little apples» in Lithuanian — are soft apple-flavoured jelly sweets dusted in fine dark cocoa. Made by Pergalė, Vilnius’s best-known confectionery brand, they have been a fixture in Lithuanian sweet shops for decades. The combination of tangy apple jelly and bittersweet cocoa coating makes them quietly addictive.

Sugar, glucose syrup, concentrated apple juice (1%), vegetable fats (palm kernel, palm), low-fat cocoa powder, corn starch, gelling agent (pectin), acidity regulators (citric acid, trisodium citrate), flavourings, emulsifier (soy lecithins), colours (concentrated fruit and vegetable juice).
