About this product
Oyster mushrooms — veshenki — are the soft, fan-shaped cultivated mushrooms with a delicate flavour and a pleasingly tender bite. In the more assertive Ural marinade, with its garlic, dill, bay and clove backbone, they sit perfectly: the mushroom is gentle, the brine speaks up.
A reliable mid-priced jar for everyday zakuska: drain, dress with sunflower oil and onion, serve with bread, boiled potatoes and herring. They also chop neatly into Olivier and warm into a quick pasta dressing.
