Mukuzani 2018 — Matrobela Georgian Red Wine
Dry red from Kakheti’s prized Mukuzani appellation, aged in oak
GEORGIA · MATROBELA · 750 ML · 13,5% ABV
What it is
Mukuzani is one of Georgia’s most celebrated Protected Designations of Origin, drawn exclusively from Saperavi grapes grown in the Mukuzani microzone of the Alazani Valley in Kakheti. The region’s clay-rich soils and continental climate produce wines of notable depth and structure.
The 2018 vintage from Matrobela spent time maturing in oak, developing a wine of garnet depth with aromas of dark plum, blackcurrant, and dried herbs, framed by well-integrated oak and firm, smooth tannins. Suited equally well to the table or the cellar.
