What it is
Hot-smoked hunter's sausages from Mažeikių Mėsinė, a traditional meat producer from Mažeikiai in the Žemaitija region of Lithuania. "Medžiotojų" means hunter's, and "Kaimiško Dūmo" means village smoke — together they capture the rustic character of these sausages.
Coarsely ground pork with garlic and spices, stuffed into natural casing and hot-smoked to a deep amber colour. The result: a firm bite, a pronounced smoky aroma, and a satisfying savoury finish. Eat as they are, or crisp the skin in a dry pan for two minutes.
