Lida Bread Kvass
A classic Belarusian fermented bread drink — no preservatives, genuine rye character
BELARUS · LIDSKOE PIVO · 1.5 L
What it is
Lidski Khlebny (Bread Kvass) is a lightly fermented drink brewed by Lidskoe Pivo in Lida, Belarus — one of the country's oldest breweries. The recipe centres on a kvass wort concentrate of rye flour, fermented rye malt and brewing barley malt, giving the drink its characteristic deep colour, mild sharpness and pleasantly sweet-sour finish.
No preservatives are added. Alcohol content is no more than 1.2% by volume — within the non-alcoholic beverage classification. The 1.5 L bottle suits everyday drinking or as a base for homemade okroshka.
Ingredients
Water, sugar, kvass wort concentrate (rye flour, fermented rye malt, brewing barley malt), citric acid (acidity regulator), dark rye malt concentrate (fermented rye malt, dark brewing barley malt, rye bread).
