What it is
Daktariska — the Lithuanian take on the classic doctor's sausage — is one of the most recognisable cooked sausages in the Baltic tradition. Krekenavos presents it in a net casing, giving each loaf a distinctive crosshatch impression on the surface and a firm, even slice.
Made from selected pork and beef, it holds its texture well whether served cold or pan-fried until lightly golden. Best with rye bread and mustard, or sliced thin for open sandwiches.
