What it is
Made in the Transylvanian tradition by Moara Cibin SA, Feleacul halva is pressed from ground sunflower seeds whipped with a foaming agent into a firm, layered confection. The addition of low-fat cocoa gives the loaf its warm brown colour and a gently bitter chocolate note that cuts through the sweetness. Crumbling, melt-in-the-mouth, and deeply satisfying — it keeps well in the cupboard and pairs perfectly with black tea.

Sunflower seed kernel 62%, glucose syrup, sugar, low-fat cocoa 1.3%, emulsifier: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids (E471), foaming agent: juniper extract, flavouring.
