What it is
Small, sugar-coated dragees with a pronounced lemon flavour and added ascorbic acid. The shell is crisp and slightly tart; the centre is dense sugar paste. A familiar Eastern European sweet — popular since Soviet times for its zingy flavour and the practical bonus of Vitamin C.
