What it is
Tula gingerbread is one of Russia's oldest confectionery traditions, originating in the city of Tula and baked to a recipe that dates back centuries. DEMICHEV's version is a pressed gingerbread — soft honey dough stamped with a printed design, filled with a sweet fruit preserve made from apple purée. The result is a compact, lightly spiced biscuit that is satisfying on its own and goes equally well with tea or coffee.
