What it is
Chuka is the Japanese term for Chinese-style seasoned seaweed salad, made from young wakame (Undaria pinnatifida) marinated in sesame oil, soy sauce, and a touch of chilli. Silky, slightly chewy, with a savoury-sweet balance — ready straight from the pack. A popular side dish or light starter in Japanese and pan-Asian cooking.
