What it is
Buckwheat honey is made by bees that collect nectar exclusively from buckwheat blossoms. It has a distinctively dark amber to nearly black colour and a bold, earthy flavour reminiscent of molasses with a light floral finish. Richer in antioxidants and minerals than most light honeys, it has long been prized in Eastern European kitchens for both its taste and its wholesome qualities.
