What it is
Tarhun is one of the most iconic soft drinks of the Soviet era — a bright emerald-green carbonated lemonade built around an infusion of tarragon (estragon). Chernogolovka has been producing it at their plant in the Moscow region since the 1980s, and the recipe remains close to its original form: artesian water, sugar, and a natural tarragon extract that gives the drink its distinctive herbal sweetness.
The flavour is refreshing and gently aromatic — sweet up front, with a clean herbal note that lingers without being sharp. Served cold over ice, it pairs well with light snacks and works beautifully on a warm day.
Ingredients
Prepared artesian water, sugar, tarragon extract (estragon), acidity regulator (citric acid), preservative (sodium benzoate), colours (tartrazine, brilliant blue FCF), flavouring (vanillin).
