What it is
Rīgas Šampanietis is the most popular sparkling wine in Latvia, produced in Riga since 1952 by Latvijas Balzams. The Sweet variant is crafted from Sangiovese grapes sourced from the sun-drenched Veneto and Romagna regions of Italy, vinified and bottled in the Latvian capital.
The wine pours pale straw with fine persistent bubbles, opening with ripe cherry and red berry aromas. Soft and lusciously sweet on the palate, with fresh acidity providing lift — a reliable choice for celebrations, desserts, and festive toasts.
