What it is
Nezhyn is a small city in northern Ukraine with a centuries-long tradition of growing cucumbers — a heritage so distinct that the local variety earned a protected name in Soviet-era commerce. The Gourmet range selects firm little cornichons 5–7 cm long, picked young at peak crunch, then preserved in a clean, lightly acidic brine seasoned with whole mustard seeds, bay leaf, allspice, and a touch of ground chilli. No preservatives added. What arrives in the jar is a proper crisp pickle with a subtle heat that builds slowly.
