What it is
Maheev Yadreny is a classic Russian mayonnaise with a genuinely assertive character. A higher mustard content gives it a bolder, more tangy edge than milder varieties, while refined sunflower oil delivers a thick, stable emulsion. It spreads cleanly, holds its texture in dressed salads, and stands up well as a dipping sauce or a base for composite dressings.
Works particularly well in Olivier salad, herring under a fur coat, and as a marinade for baked chicken or pork.
Ingredients
Refined deodorised sunflower oil, water, dry egg yolk, table vinegar, salt, thickener (E1422), mustard essential oil, acidity regulator (lactic acid), preservative (sorbic acid), colouring (beta-carotene).
