Marmelade LEMON 265g
Sugar-dusted lemon slices — the jelly sweet that has been on the tea table for a hundred years.

What they are
Limonni dolky — lemon slices — are the classic agar jelly sweet of the Ukrainian and Russian table: translucent yellow half-moons with a paler rind, rolled in granulated sugar so they crackle before they give. They are set with agar rather than gelatine, which is what makes the bite short and clean instead of chewy, and they carry real concentrated lemon juice, so the sourness is genuine rather than sharp candy acid.
They belong with black tea, plain and unhurried, and one box tends to disappear faster than anyone plans. They are also useful beyond the sweet bowl: cut into halves they finish a cake or a plate of pastries, and children who will not eat anything else will usually eat these.
Ingredients
White sugar, starch syrup, acidity regulator: citric acid, gelling agent: agar, liquid egg white, concentrated lemon juice (0.2%), lemon flavouring, natural food colouring.

Allergens & storage
Contains: EGG. Egg white is used to whip the marmalade — this is not an optional ingredient in the recipe. No other statutory allergens are declared.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep the box closed or move the slices to an airtight tin — left in the open air the sugar coating draws moisture and turns sticky. Shelf life 120 days from production.
