What it is
A seaweed-and-fish-flavour caviar imitation: the look and pop of real roe, made from alginates with fish broth flavouring. Lighter on the wallet, lighter on the conscience for vegetarian-leaning tables.
Use exactly as you would the real thing: on dark rye with butter, on blinis, or as a garnish for fancy canapés. Often the recipe of choice for big-batch entertaining.
Ingredients
Water, sugar, sodium alginate, vegetable oil, salt, gelling agents, fish flavouring or extract, colour, preservatives (sorbic acid E200, sodium benzoate E211).
