What it is
Suktinis is a traditional Lithuanian mead-based spirit, produced in the small town of Stakliškės since 1963. At 50% ABV, it blends natural bee honey with 14 wild herbs — including cloves, juniper berries, and poplar buds — alongside bilberry, black currant, and raspberry juices. The blend matures for 18–20 months before bottling.
Named after the lively Lithuanian folk dance of the same name, Suktinis was granted official culinary heritage status in 2004 and named Lithuanian Product of the Year. The 1.0 L glass barrel is the traditional format for this celebrated spirit.
Ingredients
Ethyl alcohol, honey mead semi-finished product, natural honey, herb tinctures (cloves, poplar buds, acorns, juniper berries), bilberry juice, black currant juice, raspberry juice, water, acidity regulator (citric acid). No artificial flavours, colours, or GMOs.
