Grante Pomegranate Wine Semi-Sweet
Sun-ripened Azerbaijani pomegranates, pressed and patiently fermented into a deep ruby wine
AZERBAIJAN · GRANTE (AZNAR) · 750 ML · 11% VOL
What it is
Grante is a true pomegranate wine — no grapes involved. It is made by AZNAR in Goychay, the pomegranate capital of Azerbaijan, from hand-picked fruit of the prized Gyulovsha variety. The juice is fermented in the same way as classic wine, giving a deep reddish-ruby colour and a distinctive character: ripe pomegranate fruit, fine soft tannins, hints of forest berries and a gentle touch of chocolate on the finish.
The natural sweetness is balanced by the pomegranate's signature tartness, so the wine drinks smoothly without being cloying. Serve it lightly chilled (around 12–16 °C) with soft cheeses, meat dishes or dessert — or simply on its own as an aperitif.
Ingredients
Fermented juice of pomegranates (Gyulovsha variety), sugar. Contains sulphites.
