What it is
Gaidelis are Lithuania's best-known classic biscuits — a simple, satisfying crunch that has barely changed since the first batch was baked in 1969. Lightly flavoured with cardamom and ginger, they pair just as well with a glass of milk as with black tea or coffee. The name means "little rooster" in Lithuanian, and these biscuits have been a staple in Baltic households for over fifty years.
