Ligo (Līgo) or Jan's day (Jāņi) is a Latvian folk holiday. Celebrated on the night of June 23-24 and is considered one of the largest and most popular holidays among Latvians. The day before Ligo is called Green Day or League Day (Liga is a Latvian female name).
