Akkond «Otlomi» Chocolate-Glazed Wafer Sweets
Snap off a piece — that's the whole idea.
RUSSIA · AKKOND · 200–225 G
What they are
«Otlomi» — Russian for "break me off a piece" — are the signature sweets of Akkond, a confectionery factory from Cheboksary on the Volga. Each individually wrapped sweet is a crisp wafer layered with milk caramel and a cream filling, scattered with peanut crumb and puffed rice, then sealed under a milk chocolate glaze.
The result is that rare combination of crunchy, chewy and creamy in a single bite. They are made for tea: put a few on a saucer, pour something strong and black, and try not to count the wrappers.
